Nightlife
Nightlife is lively, plentiful and features a lot of diversity that should satisfythe most seasoned revelers. The center of nightlife in Monterrey is definitely Barrio Antiguo, but there is plenty of action spread out over the rest of the city. There is a wide selection of theaters, concerts with big name entertainers, discos, small coffee houses, norteña music shows, salsa clubs, jazz and piano bars, and extravagant rodeos.
Many of the restaurants feature live music, mariachi bands or other entertainment. Nightlife in Monterrey seems to wind down a bit earlier than other Mexican cities, as many of the clubs shut down around 2 to 3 AM.
